College Fjord is a scenic-cruising call, not a pier with a town waiting at the end of the gangway. Ships enter Prince William Sound to view tidewater glaciers and alpine scenery; passengers remain aboard, which makes the best “excursion” a good observation deck, warm layers, binoculars, and a camera battery that has not been betrayed by the cold.
