How gay-friendly is St. Croix?
St. Croix has one of the Caribbean's clearest LGBTQ+ community signals: an active Pride organization, visible queer-owned hospitality, and a relaxed west-end beach culture. It is not a giant club scene, but it is a place where queer travelers can find an actual community rather than a marketing adjective wearing sunglasses.
Sand Castle on the Beach is the standout near Frederiksted. The adults-only resort describes itself as gay-friendly and sits directly on the beach, with dining and recurring drag or community events. The beach itself is not advertised as clothing optional; do not confuse private resort or pool policies with public-beach rules. Check day access directly before walking over in your best resortwear.
