How gay-friendly is Willemstad?
Willemstad arrives in color: pastel waterfront buildings, the floating Queen Emma Bridge, Punda and Otrobanda, dry heat, and a lot of reasons to schedule the air-conditioned vehicle. The city center is the easy independent option from the cruise terminals; beaches, Hato Caves, flamingos, and the west end are better with a reliable transfer.
Curaçao has a mixed visitor scene rather than a large dedicated gay nightlife district, and the island’s strongest LGBTQ+ advantage is often its relaxed tourism culture and choice of mainstream experiences.
